The genesis of the Foundation is rooted in Dr. Teka's direct experiences with the challenges faced by disadvantaged individuals. Her journey began informally in 2014, when an interaction with a young girl from Alexandra township revealed the harsh socioeconomic realities many children endure
Our overarching vision is to cultivate a South Africa where every individual, regardless of their economic circumstances, has unrestricted access to quality eye care, thereby unlocking brighter futures through improved vision. Furthermore, we passionately strive to empower young minds to perceive the world with clarity, embrace their unique style, and foster unwavering confidence through every frame they wear.
