Our core mission is to significantly improve eye health and proactively prevent vision loss within disadvantaged communities by delivering accessible, affordable, and comprehensive eye care services, coupled with vital education and unwavering support. We are steadfast in our dedication to ensuring that every child who wears glasses feels confident, fully supported, and celebrated for their distinct style and individuality, fostering a sense of pride in their unique identity.
The Rita Teka Foundation actively cultivates and seeks strategic partnerships with schools, educational institutions, influential figures, and positive role models. These collaborations are crucial for advocating for eye health and awareness, promoting positivity and empowerment among young glasses-wearers, and inspiring the next generation of individuals. As we look ahead, the Foundation’s primary aims are to significantly expand its outreach programmes, strengthen existing partnerships, and embark on vigorous fundraising initiatives. Our ultimate dream is to launch a fully equipped mobile clinic through the Foundation, enabling us to reach even the most remote and underserved rural communities across South Africa, ensuring that the gift of sight truly reaches every corner of our nation.

Bignocia Masinge: An experienced Optometrist since 2001, deeply passionate about eye care and its transformative potential.
Godwin Ubomba: Project Director, providing insight into key potential work areas to enhance the Foundation’s vision, including developing better marketing and strategic inclusive outreach programs.
